New Water Coaster Coming in 2017: America’s First in Texas

If you live in Texas you have probably been to Fiesta Texas once or twice in your life, maybe even not since you were a kid or teenager. Well, it’s time to be a kid again and enjoy all the new attractions for 2017!

San Antonio is home to Fiesta Texas, The Thrill Capital of South Texas. This year we introduce Thunder Rapids to White Water Bay as the perfect compliment to our expanding theme park! Combining the exhilarating thrills of a roller coaster, with new water jet propulsion technology, Thunder Rapids will soon become as iconic as The Iron Rattler. Mardi Gras is also new to Fiesta Texas March 24-April 30th. As a tribute to seasonal events at Fiesta Texas, several floats will feature a salute to the seasons, including Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park. As part of our 25th Anniversary celebration, the park opened February 25th for weekend operation.

Get ready to ride the power of a storm!

America’s First – An incredible 942-ft. long and 3-story tall water coaster. Unlike any other experience, Thunder Rapids will be America’s first rocket blast water coaster. You will experience breathtaking dive turns, a ride-up lift, all on a custom-designed inline raft with jet propulsion technology.

New Water Jet Propulsion – Guests will experience lightning-fast uphill speeds and adrenaline pumping drops.

Season Pass Holder Perk – Season Pass Holders will be the very first to ride before it opens to the public.
